Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy, a half-Spanish and half-English woman was born on the 16th of April 1996, in Miami Florida. She is half English and one-half Spanish. Her parents were Dennis Alan Taylor an ex-banker as well as Jennifer Marina Joy psychologist. Her father, an native of Argentina with Scottish as well as English heritage is also her mother. Her mother is Spanish-English. Taylor Joy also has 4 brothers and sisters, with one coming at each one of their parents' previous marriages. Family lived at Buenos Aires up until Taylor-Joy reached the age of six, then moved to Victoria district in London. Taylor-Joy says the move into London was difficult and that she didn't learn English so that she could avoid returning to Argentina. She had to switch schools from Northlands to Hill House. Later, she enrolled in Queen's Gate School to study dance and perform in the school's productions. When she reached the age of sixteen, Taylor-Joy resigned from the school to pursue a full-time acting career. Taylor-Joy always knew she wanted to be an actor.
