Allison Janney

AllisonAllison Brooks Janney, born on the 19th of November, 1959 in the United States is an American actress. The actress is known for her roles in a wide range of types of screen and stage over a three-decade career. Janney was awarded various awards which include an Academy Award, a British Academy Film Award and a Golden Globe Award, and seven Primetime Emmy Awards, in addition to receiving nominations for Two Tony Awards. The actress was raised in Boston and born in Dayton, Ohio, Janney was awarded a scholarship to study at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art after the completion of her studies at Kenyon College. Janney made her television debut in 1999, playing C. J. Cregg in the role of C. J. Cregg in the political drama of NBC The West Wing (2000-2006). She received Four Primetime Emmy Awards for this part. The actress was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award in 2014 for Outstanding Guest Actress in for a Drama Series as Margaret Scully's part on Masters of Sex. She was best known for her character Bonnie Plunkett.
