Headley was a frequent on-air actor in All My Children, an ABC daytime soap production. She was the detective Mimi Reed from 1991 to 1994. Headley also starred as the main character of the Fox drama series 413 Hope St. (1997-1998) in which she received nominations for the NAACP Image Award as Outstanding actress in Drama Series. Headley was the villainous Jennifer Sallison on the Oprah Winfrey Network primetime soap show The Haves and the Have Nots from 2014 until the year 2016.
